Pediatric Critical Care Intensivist

Position Overview

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full‑time, non‑tenure‑eligible Clinician‑Educator at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The position focuses on direct patient care, teaching, and scholarship, with clinical responsibilities weighted toward scholarship and other non‑clinical pursuits. Start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in pediatric critical care.
• Teach clinical, academic, and scholarly activities.
• Engage in scholarship with a focus on implementation science, clinical trial design, and translational science.
• Conduct research related to precision medicine for sepsis or organ failure, neurocritical care, sedation practice, or anesthesia‑critical care.

Qualifications

• Experienced pediatric intensivist, board‑certified in pediatrics or pediatric intensive care medicine.
• Proven track record of academic achievement in a specific area of focus.
• Methodologic expertise in implementation science, clinical trial design, or translational science.
• Experience with focus areas: precision medicine for sepsis or organ failure, neurocritical care, sedation practice, anesthesia‑critical care.
• Evidence of leadership roles is preferred.
• Faculty rank commensurate with applicant’s status and training; Instructor through Professor are welcomed.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $277,583 – $393,000.
