Pediatric Clinical Immunologist

Position Overview

The University of Utah Spencer F. Eccles School of Medicine is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Pediatric Immunologist for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department. The candidate will provide clinical consultation, ongoing patient care, and participate in research on inborn errors of immunity. The role includes management of the Utah newborn screening program for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and liaison duties with the Primary Immune Deficiency Treatment Consortium (PIDTC).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical consultation and ongoing care for patients in a large and growing pediatric immunology program.
• Manage newborn screening program for SCID and other primary immunodeficiency conditions.
• Participate in basic and clinical research on inborn errors of immunity, early‑phase and investigator‑initiated clinical trials.
• Collaborate with established immunology and cellular therapy programs, including CAR‑T cell and stem cell transplantation services.
• Contribute to academic activities such as teaching, administration, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics and in Allergy/Immunology.
• Strong commitment to improving access to education, employment, and health care for underrepresented groups.
• Demonstrated experience in a clinical or research setting involving pediatric immunology.
• Ability to integrate clinical practice with research and teaching missions.
