Pediatric Cardiologist

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Cardiologist to join their growing specialty team in Fargo, North Dakota. The provider will work within a comprehensive pediatric care environment featuring a dedicated PICU, NICU, and specialized pediatric clinics. This role also offers a joint clinical faculty appointment with the UND School of Medicine and Health Science to teach medical residents and students.

Practice Info

• Sanford Medical Center houses a 12-bed PICU with additional flex beds and shares a floor with a 24-bed pediatric unit and 40-bed Level III NICU.
• Department currently consists of four pediatric cardiologists and one pediatric nurse practitioner.
• Outreach clinics feature 8-10 scheduled patients with dedicated board-certified congenital sonographers traveling with providers.
• Department includes specialized pediatric lipid clinics and adult congenital heart disease clinics.
• Advanced imaging services available include congenital TEE, chest and coronary CTA, and cardiac MRI.
• Joint appointment as clinical faculty with the Department of Pediatrics at UND School of Medicine and Health Science.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital consults and ECG and echocardiogram reads while on call.
• Read regional Echocardiograms and ECGs.
• Teach medical students and family medicine residents, as well as participants in the upcoming pediatric residency in 2024.
