Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) Physician to join its department. The successful applicant will provide care for high-acuity pediatric postoperative cardiac patients, as well as those with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, ventricular assist devices, heart transplant, and complex dysrhythmias. Practice Info
- PCICU Attendings are members of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care and work closely with PICU attendings and other subspecialties.
- The PCICU team includes Intensivists, 6 PCCM fellows, PCICU APPs specializing in pediatric cardiac ICU care, pediatric residents, medical students, and more than 25 full-time nurses, as well as dedicated PCICU respiratory therapists, social workers, rehabilitation specialists, music therapists, and child life specialists.
Responsibilities
- Care for high acuity pediatric postoperative cardiac patients and those with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, ventricular assist devices, heart transplant, and complex dysrhythmias.
- Demonstrate procedural competency for intubation, arterial lines, central lines, and PICC line placement, as well as other common pediatric procedures.
- Collaborate on quality improvement and clinical research projects.
Compensation
- Compensation range from $270,000 to $350,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
- The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
Requirements
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Critical Care.
- BE/BC in Pediatric Cardiology or one year of advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care.
- Strong interest in clinical service, education, mentoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of a 3-year Pediatric ACGME approved residency and fellowship program.
- New York State Medical License (or eligible).
- Board Eligible in Pediatrics Critical Care.
- Meet eligibility requirements for an appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
