Summary

Cook Children’s Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology seeks a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist to join our cardiac anesthesia team at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves providing anesthesia care for a broad spectrum of congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, supporting surgical, interventional catheterization, and advanced imaging services. Our cardiac program is sustained by a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Fellowship training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia is preferred; candidates with several years of dedicated experience in the field will also be considered. Board certification in anesthesiology and subspecialty certification in pediatric anesthesia are required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.
• American Heart Association BLS and PALS certification.
• Unrestricted Texas Medical license.
• Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for anesthesiology.
• Board certified or Board Eligible in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology.
