Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County .

The group is based at Kings County Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center serving the Brooklyn and Staten Island communities.

Opportunity Details

• Anesthetic management for patients requiring surgical procedures in the Operating Room and/or Pediatric area.
• Supervision of CRNA staff, residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists in the clinical area.
• Ongoing participation in the Departmental Quality Assurance program.
• Membership in appropriate committees, as requested by the Chief of Service and/or Chairperson.
• Clinical resource for all levels of trainees.
• Participation in the didactic portion of resident, student nurse anesthetist, and medical students' educational programs.
• Time not spent in direct patient care will be devoted to appropriate administrative, educational, and/or research activities.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education programs to maintain and upgrade skills.
• CRNA:MD ratio is 2:1 with supervision.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
• Completed residency training in an accredited program within Anesthesiology
• License to practice medicine in the State of New York
• Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology

Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $421,000* (board eligible); $431,000* (board certified) based on 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

Annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $560,000** (board eligible) and $570,000** (board certified).

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.

  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
