Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY, is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join its team. The position involves a significant percentage of pediatric cases, contingent on the expansion of pediatric surgical services.

- Case assignments include Endo, general, ortho, labor and delivery, radiology, URO, vascular, GYN, ENT, neuro, and plastics.
- 45% to 50% percentage of peds cases, contingent upon the expansion of peds surgical service.
- Most cases are scheduled.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Compensation
- Salary: $550,000 annually
- Pediatric Stipend: $25,000 annually
- Up to $100,000 sign on package

Shift & Schedule
- Call taking position

Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
