Our client in CA is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Anesthesiologist for an 84-day assignment, with assignments beginning Oct 5, 2024. The role involves M-F shifts along with weekend call, requiring a minimum of 7 days per month, and focuses on administering anesthesia to pediatric patients, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Practice Info
- Setting: Inpatient
- Patient Volume: 6-12 patients per day
- Scope of Practice: Full scope pediatric anesthesia, encompassing moderate, deep, and general anesthesia for pediatric surgical cases, neonates, and children under 2
- Includes non-OR/diagnostic procedures within a stand-alone children’s hospital with NICU and PICU units
- This is an independent practice model
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients undergoing surgery or other medical procedures
- Monitor patients vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to other healthcare professionals as needed
