Navicent is seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their team in Macon, GA. - The facility is the second-largest hospital in Georgia, with 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics.
- The facility has a Level I Trauma Center; a children’s hospital built in 2019; 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites; and a stand-alone outpatient facility.
- The practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs), who all work together in a care team model.
Responsibilities
- Case assignments: General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery.
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
- Pre-anesthesia assessment.
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent.
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and performance of clinical intervention as needed.
Compensation
- Salary: $565K
- Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $30K

Shift & Schedule
- 4:1 ratio Monday thru Friday 0700 until the cases are done (usually between 1500-1700 but could run longer).
- Call from when the cases are done until 0700 next day Monday thru Friday.
- 24 hour beeper call on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Schedule is flexible and will be determined with other providers but no more than three weeks a month.
Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
- ECFMG and FLEX.
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
- Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
- Currently licensed as a physician.
