Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their practice. This role offers a new compensation package and the opportunity to work within North Carolina’s eighth-largest health network, serving approximately 1 million patients annually. The position involves working in an anesthesia care team model, focusing on collaborative care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Case assignments: Cardiac, pediatrics, OB-GYN, general, plastics, urology, vascular
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition

Compensation

  • Salary: $525,000
  • Pediatric Stipend: $50,000
  • Up to $10,000 relocation reimbursement
  • Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $100,000

Shift & Schedule

  • In-house call 4 times a month
  • Weekend duty

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
  • Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology
