Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, a dedicated teaching and community hospital in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care to a diverse patient population within a 350-bed facility. • 350-bed teaching hospital
• Pediatric and Adult Emergency Departments annually receive 90,500 visits
• 1,400 babies are delivered annually
• Outpatient services provided through the ambulatory care center network
• Case assignments include Pediatrics, general, endo, labor and delivery, ORTHO, GYN, URO, ENT, vascular, neuro, and thoracic

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $560,000 annually
• Pediatric stipend: $25,000
• Sign-on package: Up to $100,000

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a Physician
• Pediatric fellowship trained
