BronxCare Health System, the largest not-for-profit health and teaching hospital system in the South and Central Bronx, is seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative care team within a system recognized for its excellence and clinical collaboration with the Mount Sinai Health System. The position involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care for pediatric patients across various surgical specialties.

  • Case assignments include Peds, endo, general, ENT, neuro, vascular, GYN, plastics
  • Collaborative care-team model

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

  • Salary: $600,000
  • Pedi fellowship stipend: $50,000 annually
  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $100,000 package

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a Physician
