Anesthesia Specialists of Bethlehem (ASB), a physician-led private anesthesia practice with over 30 years of stability, is seeking a full-time, partnership-track pediatric anesthesiologist. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide anesthesia care for both pediatric and adult patients within the growing St. Luke's University Health Network. Newly graduating pediatric anesthesia fellows are encouraged to apply to join this expanding group of 83 anesthesiologists and 168 CRNAs.
Practice Info
- ASB provides anesthesia services across 13 inpatient hospitals and 3 ambulatory surgery centers within St. Luke's University Health Network.
- Key facilities include St. Luke's Bethlehem Campus (Level I Trauma Center) and St. Luke's Anderson Campus (Level II Trauma Center with a Mother and Baby Pavilion).
- The practice is supported by fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologists and intensivists.
- ASB maintains a broad and diverse case mix, including orthopedics, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, urology, gynecology, ENT, vascular, and general surgery.
- The network has an inpatient pediatric care unit, an 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- ASB provides anesthesia care for pediatric patients across all age groups, including infants and neonates, for general surgery, ENT, urology, cosmetic plastic surgery, and pediatric MRI.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for both pediatric and adult patients.
- Participate in Acute Pain Services.
- Participate in Surgical Optimization Clinics.
- Participate in ERAS protocols across nearly all surgical specialties.
Compensation
- Average total annual compensation package is approximately $655,000.
- $501,000 base salary.
- Approximately $80,000 from voluntary call opportunities.
- $70,000 employer-funded 401(k) contribution.
- $3,000 CME allowance.
- $1,650 employer-funded HRA.
- $100,000 sign-on bonus.
- $10,000 relocation assistance.
- $500/month vehicle stipend for physicians traveling between campuses.
- $80/month cellphone stipend.

Shift & Schedule
- Pediatric call is home call and averages approximately 1:5, shared with a pediatric CRNA.
- Every FIFTH night FIRST call.
- Day off after FIRST call: Negotiable.
- Will NOT be on SECOND call.
Requirements
- Open to newly graduating pediatric anesthesia fellows.
- Partnership vote at 18 months.
- Partnership granted upon completion of two years of employment.
- One-time equity buy-in of $2,500.
