Practice Info
- Join a team of six Allergy/Immunology faculty members, two Pediatric Rheumatologists, 4 Allergy/Immunology fellows, specialized allergy/immunology nursing staff, social workers, and asthma-focused advanced practice support.
- Established SCID newborn screening program.
- Patient populations include pediatric and adult patients with a broad spectrum of allergic and immunologic diseases.
- Academic appointment with the Department of Pediatrics, Central Michigan University College of Medicine.
- Opportunities for inter-institutional teaching and research collaboration with Michigan State University and Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care for pediatric and adult patients with allergic and immunologic diseases.
- Participate in inpatient allergy/immunology/asthma consult service.
- Share home call responsibilities.
- Engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to research, quality improvement, and program development.

Shift & Schedule
- Full-time, employed position with an 80% clinical effort with 20% protected academic time.
- Balanced clinical schedule with 6-7 half-day clinics per week.
- Approximately 5-7 days of inpatient allergy/immunology/asthma consult service per month.
- Shared home call responsibilities with no in-house call requirements.
- Average weekend inpatient consult coverage is 1 every 4-5 weeks.
Requirements
- Board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and/or American Board of Internal Medicine (required).
- Fellowship training in Allergy/Immunology with board eligibility or board certification in the subspecialty (required).
- Eligibility to obtain Michigan medical licensure (required).
- Strong interest in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows (encouraged).
- Interest in quality improvement, education, research, and program development (encouraged).
- Experience or interest in food allergy and oral immunotherapy (welcomed).
