Job Summary: This is a 0.422 FTE non-continuing contract position for a PE (Physical Education) Overload Teacher for the school year. (Position can be combined with other partial positions within the district.) Under the direction of the Principal, responsible for developing in each student an understanding of the relationship between good body functions and exercise; motivating each student to cultivate physical fitness, hygienic habits, and good social and emotional adjustment; developing talents of students in physical achievement; developing strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual, and team physical activities and sports in accordance with each student's ability. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.
Special Duties/Responsibilities: Leading all aspects/working with Physical Education Teachers at Emerson Elementary School (0.211 FTE) on Monday/Tuesday from 12:15-3:15 p.m. and Cathcart Elementary School (0.211 FTE) on Wednesday/Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Salary Range: $75,666 - $150,267 per Snohomish Education Association Salary Schedule (Anticipated salary increase effective September 1, 2026. Placement on the salary schedule is determined by official documentation verifying educational level and work experience. Salary will be prorated for less than a full-year and/or part-time employees.
Contract: 180-days, includes 12 sick and 3 personal days per year (prorated for less than a full school year)
Endorsement Required: Elementary Education/Physical Education

- Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
- Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for duration of employment with the District when required for position by Board Policy.
