PCB/Rework TechnicianPCB/Rework Technician - 6 Mo – Perm – LAWRENCE, MA1-5 yrs experience soldering through-hole and surface mount components and repairing of damaged traces, through-hole, surface mount pads, and internal circuitry on printed circuit boardsAbility to perform circuit board rework tasks including removing and replacing through-hole and surface mount devices, mask repair, laminate damage repair as well as various Engineering Change Orders with processes observed using a microscope.Ability to work up to 6 hours per day under a microscopeIPC Certified candidates are preferredResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Sales Manager or appropriate Sales Applications Engineer to ensure total customer satisfactionRead and totally understand the work instructions provided in the Traveler which is supplied with every Sales Order or jobWork closely with the QC Inspector to ensure that defined IPC and or Circuit Technology Center procedures are followed and work standards are metSoldering through hole components, Surface mount components and wires on PCB'sRepair damaged traces, through hole pads, surface mount pads, through holes and internal circuitryReplace damaged gold contactsRepair major/minor laminate damage, mask damage, warp damage and PCB delaminationRemove and replace through hole and surface mount componentsOperate milling machine for PCB modifications (if designated as a machine operator)Plate damaged gold contactsObserve Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity rules and regulationsObserve safe handling procedures to prevent further damage to PCB'sObserve proper techniques when processing lead and lead free (RoHS) soldering jobs
