For over 50 years, Bay Area Circuits has supplied printed circuit boards to electronics manufacturers, design engineers, and contract assemblers in Silicon Valley and beyond.
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented operator to support our printed circuit board manufacturing team. This position involves operating and monitoring electroless copper plating, ENIG (Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold) plating, and Hot Air Solder Leveling (HASL) equipment.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, follows established procedures, and works safely around process chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
* Operate electroless copper, ENIG, and HASL equipment according to work instructions and production requirements.
* Review job travelers and confirm required processing steps before starting each job.
* Load, unload, and handle circuit boards carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
* Monitor process settings, including temperature, processing time, and other specified operating parameters.
* Perform and document routine process checks, chemical additions, and bath maintenance as trained and authorized.
* Inspect boards for coverage, finish quality, and visible defects; report concerns promptly.
* Maintain accurate production records and process logs.
* Follow chemical handling, personal protective equipment, and waste handling procedures.
* Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance personnel to keep work moving and meet customer requirements.
* Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
* Experience in PCB manufacturing, plating, metal finishing, or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Direct experience with electroless copper, ENIG, or HASL equipment is a strong plus.
* Ability to read and follow written instructions, job travelers, and safety procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize and communicate process or quality concerns.
* Basic math skills and accurate recordkeeping.
* Reliable attendance, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
This position involves working on a manufacturing production floor near heated equipment and chemical processing lines. Duties include standing and walking for extended periods, handling circuit boards and production materials, and wearing required protective equipment. Essential job functions may be performed with reasonable accommodation.
