The role will primarily entail close collaboration with clients, electrical engineers, and other NS team members to produce detailed layouts of printed circuit boards and supporting documentation for production using CAD (Altium, PADS, Xpedition, etc.) software.Essential FunctionsLibraries management, PCB Layout, component placement review and approvalDevelop PCB layout solutionsLeads PCB layout reviews (Including high speed feedback, e.g. crosstalk analysis and best practice strategies)Work with cross-functional product development teams in supporting product developmentMaintain PADS librariesQuoting PCB layout projects based on customer requirements and engineering design team directionKeeping up to date on latest high speed design techniques including PCB material selection, layer construction, manufacturing guidelines, and implementing into design as applicableElectronic components selection and qualification through collaboration with the engineering teamCreate engineering documentation that allows the manufacturing of PCBAs, including schematics, bills of materials, assembly drawings.Working in a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of electrical hardware and mechanical engineers.Participate in periodic departmental and program meetings to ensure continuity and cohesion amongst the team.Demonstrate the ability to respect and support colleagues at all levels.
