PCB DesignerPoway, CA, United StatesAbout the Job PCB DesignerThis position is a temporary three-month contract position responsible for supporting the board-level layout of new products and sustaining engineering. Reporting to the Manager CAD/Mechanical Design, this position will work closely with senior engineers in digital and RF hardware to ensure the design of a high-quality product designed for manufacturability, longevity, and performance. A successful candidate will be experienced, enthusiastic, ready to take on new challenges, and have excellent attention to detail.
Products include systems with an emphasis on video compression, decompression, FPGAs, microprocessors, and wireless communications. What you will be doing:The layout of digital and RF PCBs working with schematic design engineers using AltiumSchematic design and/or modification of supporting PCBs with minimal oversight using AltiumDesign of cable adapter drawings and mechanical assemblies in SolidworksResearch and evaluate components for obsolescenceManage and create new parts for schematic and PCB librariesGenerate assembly drawings from detailed parts, sketches, and verbal instructionsDevelop and maintain bills of materialsGenerate engineering change ordersProvide input to project plans and keep projects on schedulePrepare and maintain layout-related documentationOr refer someone
