The benefits package includes: medical, dental and vision, life & disability, 401k, HSA, Flexible Spending and an Employee Assistance Program.The Payroll Tax Analyst I is responsible for all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state and federal regulations and filing local state and federal payroll tax returns.Works with Payroll Management to ensure there is compliance with statutory tax requirements at the state and federal level.Review new IRS regulations for Payroll and update the company's records.Quarter reconciliations for 941's and annual reconciliations of four quarters and W-3's.Audit of year end information for the W-2's and processing W-3C if necessary.Research and resolve statutory notices including IRS notices.As part of the payroll operations, process payroll amendments as needed.Set up new ADP Tax companies.Maintain ADP VS Lawson reconciliations, 941's statements of deposits, and employee and employer liabilities.Review wage, payroll and tax reports generated by payroll service (ADP) for accuracy of total Wages and labor distributions.As part of newly acquired entities, set up State Unemployment or State Withholding jurisdictions as needed.Act as liaison between Payroll and the AmSurg Tax department.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational classes or reviewing professional publications regarding.Other duties as assigned.Reads and abides by the company's code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs.Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company.Obtains clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.Very strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Experience with multi- state tax jurisdictions; multiple entities.Reconciliations of 941's; state unemployment; W-2's.Knowledge of payroll tax jurisdictions.Experience Multiple State; Multiple companies - 4500 + employees.Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University and 4 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
