Payroll And Tax Reconciliation ConsultantSpencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to our team of consultants under our Payroll and Tax Reconciliation Practice.
Responsibilities include overseeing and performing all aspects of payroll tax compliance, establishing and maintaining tax agency accounts and SUI rates across multiple jurisdictions, managing employee tax setups and changes, reconciling payroll tax reports, ensuring timely submission of payroll tax filings, leading responses to payroll tax inquiries, developing internal controls, preparing payroll records, providing leadership and technical support, monitoring updates from tax authorities, and collaborating cross-functionally with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams.Required Qualifications:Not less than 4 years of work experience in multi-state payroll and tax compliance.Experience with ADP Smart Compliance is a plus.Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated organizational abilities.Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience leading a team.Preferred Qualifications:Key competencies for building a high-standards culture:Payroll team members are expected to uphold the following attributes to support a collaborative, high-performing environment.
