Job Summary/Basic Function
The Payroll Student Worker provides administrative support to the payroll office by assisting with general office tasks such as filing, scanning, record keeping, greeting visitors, and handling deliveries. This role supports the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations by learning and utilizing payroll and record-keeping systems, as well as various office equipment. Additional duties may be assigned to support the needs of the department.

We work closely with students to provide flexible scheduling that accommodates their class commitments. While availability to work during the summer months is preferred, it is not required.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scan, organize, and link employee files and payroll documents within the imaging software system to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Provide customer support to University faculty, staff, and students by responding to payroll-related questions and assisting with required forms and documentation.
  • Deliver payroll-related paperwork to various departments across campus in a timely manner.
  • Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks as needed to support payroll operations.
  • Complete special projects and additional assignments as directed by the Payroll Director and/or Assistant Payroll Director.
