Dean, we are committed to building the next generation of technical leaders in electrical, engineering, and cybersecurity industries.ResponsibilitiesIn this position your primary role will be working with the payroll team to process weekly payrolls for 9000 employees, in multiple companies and multiple states while providing excellent customer service to our employees and customers. In addition you will assist the payroll team with other weekly tasks to include employee changes, tax filings and issues, garnishment processing, certified payroll and other tasks as needed.Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:Accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for 9000 employeesInvestigate and resolve tax notices, penalties, and questionnaire requests.Assist with the timely deposits and filings for federal, state and local tax liabilities for all jurisdictionsAssist with filing quarterly and annual unemployment taxes.Assist with completing monthly, quarterly and annual tax reconciliations as appropriate to ensure accurate filingsPerform quarterly W-2 reconciliations and processes corrections as required.Weekly processing of garnishments, child support, tax liens and other wage attachmentsCertified Payroll checking and submittal in various applicationsWork closely with Finance and IT to enhance the current operations and automation capabilities of the Payroll DepartmentOther tasks as neededQualificationsEducation: Bachelors Degree in Business related field preferred Bachelor's Degree and up to 0+ Years of progressive experience the following orAssociates Degree and 4+ Years of progressive experience the following orKnowledge of multi-state, multi-entity (FEIN) in-house payroll processingKnowledge of best practices and standard procedures for federal, multi-state and local tax reportingKnowledge of FLSA, employment laws and tax laws and regulationsDemonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.Strong MS Excel and WordExcellent customer service skillsDesired / Advantageous QualificationsUnderstanding of Davis Bacon and Service Contract ActKnowledge of International PayrollGarnishment, liens, child support and other wage attachment setup and processingCertified Payroll Professional Certification (CPP)We Offer An Excellent Benefits Package Including:A competitive salaryMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursement401k Retirement PlanMilitary Reserve pay offsetPaid maternity leaveAbilitiesExposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.Sitting for extended periods of time.Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.Identify and understand the speech of another person.Pay RangeUSD $31.38 - USD $39.23 /Hr.
