Payroll SpecialistThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely processing and auditing necessary to produce an accurate and timely payroll, including the timely filing of state and federal tax documents. In addition, the Payroll Specialist provides positive customer services in responding to payroll / payment issues.Essential Functions:Prepare, process and audit accurate and timely payroll using automated payroll system, including preparation of manual checks, when necessaryRespond, research and resolve problems or issues presented by employees and management regarding timekeeping, payroll and payroll deductionsReview and process Personnel Action Form implementing changes as necessary per policyEstablish, track and verify employee related deductions, including wage garnishmentsPrepare and submit to the appropriate federal and state authorities, the bi-weekly payroll tax depositsEducation/Training/Experience:High School Education/GED preferredRecent payroll processing experience using an automated time and attendance systemADP and automated timekeeping experience preferredHealthcare / hospital experience preferredBasic understanding of accounting principalsExcellent communication skills including correct grammar and spellingExcellent computer skillsExcellent customer service skills
