Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) program. Key Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and timely on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis
• Review and audit payroll data, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping information
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and management
• Maintain payroll records and employee data within HRIS and payroll systems
• Process garnishments, wage attachments, benefits deductions, and direct deposits
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end close activities
• Prepare payroll reports for accounting, finance, HR, and management teams
• Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll tax reporting
• Participate in payroll implementations, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience
• Experience processing payroll for 200+ employees preferred
• Familiarity with payroll tax regulations, garnishments, and compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG/Kronos, Workday, Ceridian Dayforce, Paylocity, or similar platforms
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and data analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• CPP certification is a plus
