LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Cincinnati, Ohio . This position is ideal for a payroll professional who has direct, hands-on experience processing payroll within Workday and is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay - $30 to $36 an hour

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule using Workday
• Review employee payroll information, deductions, earnings, and payroll changes for accuracy
• Maintain and update payroll records within Workday
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions
• Process adjustments, corrections, garnishments, deductions, and other payroll-related transactions
• Review timekeeping and payroll data prior to processing
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records
• Partner with HR, accounting, and other internal teams to resolve payroll issues
• Ensure payroll processes follow applicable company policies and payroll requirements

Qualifications

• Required: Hands-on Workday payroll processing experience
• Previous professional payroll processing experience
• Experience reviewing payroll calculations, deductions, and employee payroll records
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information
• Ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office applications
• Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Position Details

This is a 1st-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity in Cincinnati, Ohio. Candidates must have prior experience processing payroll directly within Workday , rather than experience using Workday solely for HR, timekeeping, or employee self-service functions.
