We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our client in downtown Chicago. This is a hybrid contract , with potential to transition to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience
- 1–2 recent years of hands-on Workday experience
- Experience with Workday Payroll or payroll-related processes
- Excellent Excel skills , including:
Pivot Tables / Pivot Charts
VLOOKUP
Data analysis and reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of payroll data
- Ability to analyze discrepancies, identify issues, and support accurate payroll processing and reporting
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Payroll processing and reconciliation
- Payroll reporting and variance analysis
- Workday Time Tracking, Benefits, or Compensation
- Accounting or Finance experience
- Multi-state payroll
- Payroll-to-GL reconciliation
- SOX, audit, or internal controls experience
- Experience working with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Accounting teams
