Suntory Global Spirits is a place where you can come Unleash your Spirit by making an impact each and every day.What Makes this a Great OpportunityPlay a critical role in the flawless execution of employee payroll activities, government reporting, system governance, and audit complianceCollaborate with key stakeholders and regional management, empowered to make decisions and deliver solutions to business partnersDeliver value to current and potential business, working across geographic boundaries to support Suntory Global Spirits's global strategyDevelop and lead a team in a dynamic and diverse global companyAdvance career in payroll while expanding knowledge in human resources, finance, and project managementRole ResponsibilitiesBuild relationships with internal/external stakeholders and work closely with key customersContinuously delivers on commitments and openly communicates when issues ariseAssumes ownership of Payroll process, delivers performance against SLAs, and seeks opportunities to improve end to end processesSupports the professional development of team members and build on the culture of continuous improvement, service expansion, and complianceResponsibilitiesDirect high performance team in US and Canada multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with policy, as well as Federal and state wage laws.Drive effective enablement of the Dayforce Payroll System, leading efforts regarding configuration, governance, and continuous improvementEnsure payroll is accurate, reports are timely and relevant, and research variances (e.g., number of timecards not equal to number of paychecks issues)Set priorities for the team including specific goals and performance targets. Leverage team strengths to achieve objectives.Document end to end process flows to identify key areas of improvementTrack team performance including payroll processing, reporting, audit supportPrepare effective presentations and deliver timely updates to upper managementMaintain knowledge of legal and tax requirements and government reporting regulations impacting Payroll and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in complianceDirect annual year end processing and W2 and T4 reconciliationDevelop materials and provide periodic training with other departments to outline procure to pay processesLead payroll team and stakeholders in the effective use of the Dayforce Payroll systemCollaborate on various projects to promote short-term and long-term performanceQualificationsUniversity degree- BS/BA or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldFive + years of Payroll experienceExperience in a shared services environment and robust understanding of HR/benefit cyclesExtensive Dayforce knowledge including configuration and governanceA proven track record of working with internal and external stakeholdersPreferences MBA or similar graduate studiesCPP certificationSAP skills highly valuableBeverage or spirits industry backgroundWhile relocation, immigration, and/or tax compliance support are not guaranteed, we may offer assistance to successful candidates depending on factors such as role requirements in accordance with company guidelines.
