Payroll Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $150,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee high volume payroll operations and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Manage payroll activities across multiple states while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
• Administer payroll processes related to union employees, including benefits, deductions, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review certified payroll reports and supporting documentation for compliance purposes.
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to support payroll accounting, labor tracking, and project related reporting.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Previous experience managing payroll in a fast paced environment with a large or complex workforce.
• Ability to interpret labor agreements and apply payroll rules accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Prior experience using payroll, accounting, or ERP systems to manage payroll operations efficiently.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing payroll within the construction industry.
• Proven background administering payroll for union and non union employees.
• Previous experience processing multi state payroll and supporting compliance related reporting.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll reporting, and labor cost tracking.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
