Payroll Director (Workday payroll experience required)

The Director of Payroll will oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. This role involves collaborating with the Accounting & Finance team to support payroll functions within the financial services industry.

Description

• Manage end-to-end payroll semi-monthly & off-cycle processing for the company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Confirm tax, garnishment, and benefit deduction accuracy.
• Oversee payroll reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Handle payroll audits and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Implement improvements to payroll systems and processes as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to team members regarding payroll inquiries.
• Stay updated on payroll laws and adapt processes accordingly.

Profile

A successful Payroll Director should have:

• 5+ years of prior experience with payroll operations - 2+ years within Workday platform required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Proven background in managing ad-hoc and off-cycle payroll processing.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Manhattan 4 days per week.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $175,000 USD.
• 1 day of hybrid flexibility per week.
