The position requires an experienced, detail-oriented professional to lead and manage overall payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining strict compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Execution: Oversee and process biweekly payroll for a workforce of 800+ employees.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• System Management: Manage payroll systems and collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline data flow and accuracy.
• Audit Readiness: Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Lead payroll-related projects, including system upgrades, automation, and reporting improvements.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with HR and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and employee compensation reporting.
• Internal Support: Provide excellent internal customer service to staff regarding payroll inquiries.

Qualifications

• Payroll Director Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on payroll experience is required, with nonprofit or healthcare sector experience considered a plus.
• Payroll Director A strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations is mandatory.
• The ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills to effectively lead operations.
