Communicating clinical information and negotiating with payors, the full-time Payor Specialist will obtain authorizations for appropriate levels of care and maintain certification information while working remotely during business hours. Key responsibilities Negotiate with payors to secure authorization for care and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication Provide timely feedback on payor determinations to relevant staff and gather preferred provider information for various services Document changes in payor information and maintain accurate certification records in the information system Required qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience in Third Party Reimbursement or Utilization Management is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly in English Proficiency in managing long periods of sitting and phone use, with the ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
