Payment Services Associate IA successful Payment Services Associate I will:Review and process ATM/ITM check depositsReview and process Remote Check DepositsReview and process Fed Check ReturnsPost Web Payments/Offset Fees including reversals due to returnsPerform all operational duties related to the Credit Union's ACH and Share Draft programs, including processing, maintenance, posting exceptions, member bill pay exceptions, and member supportReview and process debit and credit card disputes by tracking fraud cases, completing account memo entries, and monitoring case progress, status changes, and final resolution to ensure accurate and timely processingHandle deceased member notificationsPerform card-related maintenance issues to include troubleshooting, travel notes, fraud alerts, etc.Enter Indirect Dealer ACH payments and GL entries for approval by second partyReview/work various reportsReview various general ledger accounts for posting accuraciesHandle Visa Account Updater (VAU) requestsPost various GL journal entries as needed and assignedWire transfers (input outgoing/post incoming) and update monthly wire logProvide support services to branch staff and other departments as necessaryOrganize and maintain electronic and/or paper filing systems for all department filesIdentify potentially fraudulent transactions and escalate suspicious activity as appropriateEnsure compliance with NACHA Operating Rules, Regulation E, Regulation CC, BSA/AML requirements, OFAC regulations, and other applicable laws and policiesMaintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory examinationsParticipate in testing and implementation of new payment products, software updates, and system enhancementsOther duties as assignedRequirementsBasic knowledge of accounting and balancing proceduresBasic knowledge of card servicing proceduresCommitment to member servicePatience and understanding when dealing with irate membersProficient with Microsoft Office products, especially ExcelWell organized, attention to detail, reliable, self-starterWorks well in a team environmentMinimum of 1 year experience in a financial institution required.
