In our time of Company growth, we are seeking a Payment Posting Specialist.
Work Location: Bradenton, FL
As part of this role, you will:
  • Post insurance and patient payments (EOBs, ERAs, checks, credit cards)
  • Accurately apply contractual adjustments and denials
  • Balance daily deposits and reconcile batches
  • Identify and escalate posting discrepancies
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards
  • Review explanation of benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice to ensure accurate payment posting.
  • Work on unapplied and unidentified cash
  • Ensure proper allocation of payments across accounts
  • Communicate with Billing/AR teams regarding posting issues
  • Maintain posting logs and audit trails
  • Assist with month-end closing activities

Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Must be able to organize data for easy retrieval
  • Knowledge of EOB/ERA interpretation
  • 1+ year of payment posting or medical billing experience
  • Experience with practice management systems
  • Must have working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (minimum 2 years)
  • Must have working knowledge of Managed Care, Government Payers, and Private Payers
  • Must have experience and/or education in computer data entry
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have working knowledge of computers, calculators, and typewriters
  • Must be well organized
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and complete assignments weekly
  • Must be courteous, helpful, and maintain patient confidentiality
