Perform a variety of clerical functions.Greet patients in-person and via telephoneVerify insurance eligibility and copy insurance cardsPerform financial and eligibility screening for clinic programsPrint daily schedule and confirm next day's appointmentsComplete appropriate paperwork as needed for patients: school excuses, Head Start forms, etc.Make follow-up appointments for referrals from other sitesCall, reschedule and mail letters to all N/S patientsResponsible for patients checking in through completing encounters, personal records forms, etc.QualificationsMinimumHigh school graduate or equivalentOne year experience in a medical or dental officeExperience in verifying and billing insurance/program eligibilityBilingual English/SpanishRequired Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Dental Records systems, NextGen preferredAbility to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional mannerExcellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfactionAbility to type minimum 35 WPMPreferred Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferredExperience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products, business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilitiesPay Range $21.50 - $22.00 Depending On Experience
