Supporting multiple ambulatory practices, the full-time Patient Service Representative II will manage inbound and outbound communications, handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and ensure effective follow-up regarding care plans, all while working remotely. Key responsibilities Communicate with patients and staff through various channels to address inquiries and provide information Utilize a computerized scheduling system to manage appointments and ensure timely follow-up with patients Process referrals and coordinate with insurance companies for prior authorizations and prescription refills Required qualifications High School diploma/GED required; training as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician preferred Experience in the medical field or customer service, with a minimum of 2 years in a medical office or call center Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to explain healthcare issues empathetically Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
