Be a part of our team of healthcare heroes and discover why Catholic Health was named Long Island's Top Workplace!Job RequirementsHS Diploma/GED RequiredMust have some physician billing experienceExperience working in a medical practice is preferredJob ResponsibilitiesAccurately register patient demographics to include insurance information, insurance verification, and email addresses for MyChartAbility to interpret third party coverage to patientsResponsible for patient referrals and pre-certification/authorization for outpatient tests and/or inpatient proceduresCommunicate with other ancillary staff for proper insurance requirementsEPIC deposit tool: reconcile daily copayments and complete weekly cash depositServe as a resource for staff including all aspects of billingHandle patient billing inquiriesCollect patient copaymentsCharge EntrySupport Front Desk with Checking Patients In/Out and Answering Phones as neededMay be assigned additional duties as neededSalary RangeUSD $24.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location.
