Job Summary
Lead the Patient Observation Associates team at Ascension Seton Hays , ensuring safe, timely, and accurate observation of patients who cannot be left unattended while supporting the department’s managers in the successful operation of the Patient Observation and Transport Program.
Location & Schedule
- Location: 6001 Kyle Parkway, Kyle, TX 78640.
- Full‑time schedule: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM; days may vary. Rotating weekends and holidays required.
- Pay: $18.50 – $21.50 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the daily work of other Patient Observation Associates.
- Communicate with associates, staffing resources, client staff, and leadership as appropriate.
- Coordinate associate assignments and communicate with client personnel as needed.
- Ensure float break coverage to support associates at offsite accounts when applicable.
- Communicate policies and procedures to ensure compliance, standardization, and process improvement.
- Complete shift reports, break sheets, and associate patient assignments to ensure coverage and support.
- Perform all duties of Patient Observation Associates.
- Cross‑train in Patient Transport and/or other departments when applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior patient observation supervisory experience required.
