Patient Care Tech
Patient Care Techs provide personal care; health-related services; and assist with activities of daily living. Patient Care Techs function under the direction; instruction; and supervision of nursing staff. Patient Care Techs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys; improvement initiatives; and continuing education.
Minimum Education: High School or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience: No previous experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Patient Care Tech Orientation BLS - should not initiate patient contact until completed.
Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities: Input data into computer programs. Communication and public relation skills.
Designated Driver: No.
OSHA Category: 1 - High Risk.
