Responsibilities

n
    n
  • n

    Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting

    n
    • n
  • n

    Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output

    n
    • n
  • n

    Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN

    n
    • n
  • n

    Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe

    n
    • n
  • n

    Assist in transporting patients within the hospital

    n
    • n
n

Qualifications

n
    n
  1. n

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    n
    2. n
  2. n

    Current Certification in Patient Carerequired(M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).

    n
    3. n
  3. n

    Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.

    n
    4. n
  4. n

    Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current

    n
    5. n
  5. n

    Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.

    n
    6. n
  6. n

    Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

    n
    7. n
  7. n

    Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.

    n
    8. n
  8. n

    Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

    n
    9. n
  9. n

    Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.

    n
