nPosition Summary
nProvides quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant at HMC. Supports the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.

nQualifications
nMinimum Education:
nRequired:
nHigh school diploma or equivalent.
nMinimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
nPreferred:
nOne year acute care nursing assistant experience.
nLicense, Registry or Certification:
nRequired:
nState Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification OR non-certified nursing assistant with acute care hospital experience required. CPR certification is required. Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months. CPI Course will be provided at Hunterdon.
nKnowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
nRequired:
nNormal knowledge of basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
