Patient Accounting CoordinatorThe Revenue Cycle for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing patient demographic and insurance information efficiently and accurately. Areas within the Revenue Cycle include pre-registration, registration, pre-certification, financial clearance and counseling, financial assistance, scheduling, billing, claims follow-up, customer service and cash collection. The primary responsibility of staff with the Revenue Cycle is to ensure the collection of net revenue for services rendered.Position Summary: Patient Financial Services Rep is responsible for all aspects of patient billing and collection processing in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Department roles may include, but is not limited to: payment posting, cash reconciliation, refund/credit processing, insurance follow up, customer service in a call center setting, self pay collections, or claim submission.Minimum Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.Function: FinanceSub-function: Revenue Cycle - Patient AccountingCareer Band: Individual Contributor - TechnicalCareer Level: 1-2Location: Ackerman Rd, )Position Type: RegularScheduled Hours: 40Shift: First ShiftFinal candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
