CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.As our Pathology Supervisor, you will help laboratory personnel and clinical educators maintain compliance, quality standards, and high-quality education services so they can achieve operational excellence and effective clinical outcomes.Every day you will manage laboratory operations and oversee clinical education initiatives.

You will be expected to exercise authority over personnel decisions, establish effective scheduling, manage workflows, and develop staff.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong leadership, technical and scientific oversight capabilities, and the ability to develop and implement policy and standard operating procedures.Supervises, coaches, and reviews the performance of laboratory personnel to ensure adherence to relevant policies and ethicsOversees designated laboratory day to day operations and exercises authority over personnel decisionsAnalyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processesAdministers laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumablesResolving technical problems and ensuring that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specificationsIdentifying training needs and assuring that each individual performing tests receives regular in service training and education appropriate for the type and complexity of the laboratory services performedRequiredBachelor's degree in biological or chemical sciences, as defined by CLIA.Minimum of five years at a moderate or high complexity laboratoryMT or CLS or MLS certification required, ASCP or equivalentJoin a Legacy of Healing at Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC)Ready to make a real difference?
