Northwell Health and the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital are seeking an AP/CP Certified Pathologist to join their team as Residency Program Director. This role involves the day-to-day management of the AP/CP Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Residency Program, ensuring compliance with ACGME regulations, and directing the educational curriculum for ten residents. The Program Director will also balance clinical caseloads on the Surgical and/or Cytopathology service while supervising residents and students.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the AP/CP Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Residency Program.
  • Organize and direct the educational curriculum for residents.
  • Ensure the program is in compliance with all ACGME regulations.
  • Supervise residents and students.
  • Balance a clinical caseload on the Surgical and/or Cytopathology service.
  • Organize resident curriculum, including didactic schedule.
  • Evaluate both residents and faculty.
  • Create and implement program policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • AP/CP Certified Pathologist
  • Preferably with subspecialty training in Cytopathology, GI Pathology, GU Pathology or GYN Pathology
