Focused entirely on transfusion medicine and apheresis services, this role combines weekday clinical coverage with manageable rotating consult call.
Practice & Cases:
- Transfusion medicine and apheresis-focused pathology service
- Complex antibody workups and blood bank consultation
- Therapeutic exchanges, massive transfusion protocols, and refractory bleeding support
- Trauma, oncology, hematology, and obstetric hemorrhage case mix
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday coverage
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule
- Rotating night and weekend phone consult call
- Ongoing coverage while permanent recruitment continues
Requirements:
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified in Pathology
- Active North Carolina license required
- Blood Bank or Transfusion Medicine certification preferred
