We are seeking an experienced Pathology Assistant to provide coverage in a hospital-based laboratory in Georgetown, South Carolina .

Schedule & Coverage Day Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
️ 1-hour unpaid lunch
Ongoing assignment (until permanent hire + vacation coverage)
Flexible scheduling
No on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Perform specimen grossing and examination
Manage daily pathology caseload efficiently
Ensure all cases are completed before end of shift (OT if needed)
Collaborate with pathologists and lab teams
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Pathology Assistant certification
ASCP certification (required)
Strong experience in grossing specimens
Eligible for credentialing across multiple health systems
Primary site with potential coverage at additional nearby facilities
Travel support includes car rental/gas or mileage reimbursement
Hotel accommodations provided (within set limits)
Credentialing required for multiple systems
