Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified AP/CP Pathologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Georgia. The ideal candidate will provide ongoing support throughout the year, covering reads for five hospitals. This role involves a variety of surgical and cytology cases, working collaboratively with a dedicated team.
Practice Info
- Covering reads for 5 hospitals
- Average of 100 surgical cases split between all Pathologists
- Hemapathologist handles all bone marrow
- Work with 3 other Pathologists and 3-4 Histotechs
- Four transcriptionists that use Voicebrook recognition
- 2 cytotechs and 1 cyto prep tech
- 2 PAs on site to Gross and cut frozen sections
- 3 Path Support employees for gross room/accessioning
- EMR at the hospital is EPIC
Responsibilities
- Handle GI Biopsies, skin biopsies, prostate biopsies, bladder biopsies, laryngeal biopsies, breast biopsies, lung biopsies (for tumors)
- Perform 5-10 GYN cytology cases
- Perform 15-20 non-GYN cytology including FNA cases (Smears, thinpreps, cell blocks)
