Pathologist Assistant

Under the general supervision of a pathologist, prepares surgical specimens for examination, dictates test results, operates photographic equipment, and performs other related duties. Performs gross dissection, dictation, microscopic examination, frozen section cases, clinical histories and examination summaries. Assists with histology preparation of specimens

Responsibilities

• 1.1 Accurately processes surgical pathology specimens including properly fixing, cutting, photographing, and sectioning of surgical specimensn

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in biology and successful completion of an accredited Pathologist's Assistant programn

EXPERIENCE

Three to six months job related experience to become familiar with a variety of procedures, techniques and equipment used in performing activitiesn
