Pathologists' AssistantA well-established healthcare organization is seeking a Pathologists' Assistant to join a high-performing pathology team supporting a busy clinical environment. This role offers strong mentorship and is open to both new graduates (ASCP-certified) and experienced professionals.Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform gross examination, dissection, and dictation of surgical specimens, including complex casesPrepare and document tissue samples for histologic processing and microscopic evaluationAssist pathologists during autopsies and intraoperative procedures (e.g., frozen sections)Accurately document specimen data, including clinical history and handling proceduresEnsure proper specimen accessioning and workflow efficiencyMaintain compliance with quality assurance protocols and laboratory standardsCollaborate with pathologists, lab staff, and clinical teams to support diagnostic processesMaintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper handling and disposal of biological materialsQualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field requiredCompletion of an accredited Pathologists' Assistant programASCP certification required (new grads encouraged to apply)Strong understanding of anatomic pathology techniques and laboratory workflowsAbility to perform grossing on a range of specimen types (training/support available)Experience with laboratory systems (EPIC preferred)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation with growth potentialRelocation assistance availableComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company participationAdditional employee benefits and support programs
