Pay Rate: $84-$87/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (8 Weeks)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

A healthcare organization in New York, NY is seeking a Pathologist Assistant for an 8-week contract assignment starting 11/23/2026. This role supports pathology services with a consistent weekday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens
- Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination
- Accurately describe and document specimen findings
- Assist pathologists with specimen handling and case preparation
- Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and clinical teams
- Maintain accurate records and specimen documentation
- Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- New York State licensure as a Pathologist Assistant required
- Bachelor’s or higher degree from a Pathologists’ Assistant program required, or an equivalent program as determined by the NYS Education Department, or a bachelor’s or higher degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program
- 0-3 years of related pathology experience required
